R.I.P. Vicki Garrett

Vicki died on January 19th after a 2½ year battle with pancreatic cancer. All of us at Art Splash send our heartfelt sympathies to her family, but particularly to Alan Kniffin, her husband of 46 years.

Vicki was an extremely talented artist who gave tirelessly of her time to support the arts in Ocean Shores. She was a great friend and mentor to all of us, serving as Vice President of Associated Arts of Ocean Shores (AAOS}, as well as being its webmaster and newsletter editor. She was also a founding member of the Art Splash Studio Tour, serving as its Vice President and webmaster. Her beautiful pottery totems can be seen throughout the area. We already miss her leadership, friendship and artistic talent, but we especially mourn the loss of such a wonderful person.
